Ready or not, we're officially living in the age of artificial intelligence. Technological advancements have made text-to-image services readily available online, and all users are left to do is to enter prompts for what outcomes they have in mind.

Filipino artist Patrick Cabral recently utilized AI service Midjourney to put together an entire collection of Filipiniana pieces, and the result was nothing short of jaw-dropping.

The designs could easily be identified as Francis Libiran or Cary Santiago originals. The contemporary touches to the pieces, complete with the intricate weaving and insane texture play, are truly mind-blowing.

Naturally, netizens were also floored with the outcomes from Patrick's prompt. One user dubbed it as "high art and high fashion!"

A common anomaly with AI experiments is that they occassionally don't get the number of fingers on one's hand right. Sometimes a model has six fingers, other times, they have four. Though, one commenter was amazed at how accurately the machine was able to depict a human hand for most of the images.

A user quipped that they were going to scurry over to Laguna to have one of these looks made for themselves (ICYDK, the province is known for creating apparel out of pina or jusi fabric, traditional textiles for Filipinianas.)

Patrick amused some commenters, and shared in their hopes that actual designers take inspiration from his work and manifest them onto an actual runway. "I'm sure the fashion industry [is] nakatutok dito. Pinag-iisipan na'to. Magagawa to!" one declared.
