As one of the fashion world's most revered houses, Fendi has consistently been upping the ante when it comes to their style codes. Under the collaborative direction of Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Italian label has developed the perfect balance between vintage references and fresh, contemporary ideas.
This past-meets-present philosophy was showcased during their S/S 2024 show, where models sauntered down the catwalk as fashionable pedestrians on a Roman street. Inspired by their Spring 1999 presentation under the guidance of Karl Lagerfeld, the collection exuded a kitschy charm through intentional draping, precise tailoring, and eye-catching hues of orange, brown, and light cyan.

One of the designer bags to make a debut on the runway was the Fendi Flip. A tote that can be folded into a clutch, the piece showcased the brand's innovative vision and affinity to color-blocking. If anyone were to ask you where this bag is from, all you need to do is to flip it over to reveal the F on either side.

What Is the Fendi Flip?
The Fendi Flip was designed to take the modern woman from day to night in one flip. An updated take on a classic silhouette, the square-shaped tote bag can be held by its handle or folded diagonally to form a hand-held clutch. Don't be fooled by its slim appearance, as the bottom compartment fully expands when filled with items. Also available is a smaller version called the Nano, which is meant to be worn as a crossbody with its thin metallic strap.

The leather carrier exhibits the Italian maison's mastery of color. The Medium and Large iterations come in tri-color motifs, utilizing complementing shades of brown, yellow, and blue to distinguish their geometric panels. They're also made in classic black-and-white.
In the same way that the Fendi First clutch took pride in the label's signature F logo, the Fendi Flip is embossed with the letter on both sides.
How Much Is the Fendi Flip?
As mentioned, the Flip currently comes in three sizes, with price points ranging from P40,000 to P130,000. All pieces, available in a variety of color schemes, can be transformed into a structured triangular purse.
The most familiar one is the Medium version. Measuring 29.5cm in height and 33cm in width, the bag is surprisingly roomy thanks to its inner clutch.

For fans of teeny-tiny bags out there, the Nano is the one for you. More of an accessory or charm than an actual carrier, it has just enough space for a small bullet of lipstick through its zipper compartment. It measures 13.5cm in height and 16cm in width.

How to Style the Fendi Flip, As Seen on Filipino Celebrities
At Milan Fashion Week F/W 2024, a number of Filipino personalities graced Fendi's annual presentation. Coincidentally enough, they each showed their unique ways of styling the Fendi Flip. Check out their looks below!
1. Heart Evangelista
Fashion week veteran Heart Evangelista showed up to the function donning pieces plucked straight out of the past season's runway. She wore Look 43 from the S/S 2024 collection, which was a strapless midi dress that had a thigh-high slit and draping attached to the waist. Seamlessly matching with her frock's cool tones was her Fendi Flip. To break things up a bit, she teamed the ensemble with snake-skin ankle booties.

2. Pia Wurtzbach
Also in attendance at the Fendi show was Pia Wurtzbach, who was as statuesque as ever in a look from S/S 2024. Offsetting her bright red Fendi Flip was a silky cyan-toned maxi dress that had a mock-neck detail and creased cap sleeves. Foregoing any jewelry, the only accessory she needed were her brown tresses and a fierce makeup look.

3. Camille Co
Spotted on the Milanese streets with her Fendi Flip was Camille Co. Stylishly frolicking in a skin-tight dress by Bonita Penaranda, topped off with an oversized blazer and Amina Muaddi heels, the OG blogger was a vision in earth tones. The little hints of red from her bag perfectly punctuated the OOTD!
