At the Preview Ball 2024, a selection of the most creative local talents gathered for a truly memorable evening. Guests arrived at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Newport World Resorts in their own creative interpretations of the night's theme, "authenticity." As Preview Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos said, "Come in the skin you're most comfortable in."
Dressed to the nines, their choices of arm candy were truly the pièce de résistance. Ahead, we list down the stylish bags we spotted guests carrying during the Preview Ball 2024—from designer classics to unique conversation starters.

1. BLING & CO. Clutch Bags
Angelina, Sam, and Chesca Cruz were a vision in skin-toned gowns, all styled by Francis Chee. For their clutch bags, the sisters went for a very "crystal-like, embellished look so it matches the jewelry and the dresses at the same time." The trio wanted to make things interesting by playing with textures and silhouettes, so designer Al Rey Rosano created a custom piece for Angelina: "[Al Rey] came up with this pleated, siren-like figure and I love it!"

Sam's Asurio Pinafico creation was crafted using chiffon, "and a little bit of a sheer skirt to give that skin-toned effect."

There's a hidden meaning behind Chesca's look: "We took a suit and we deconstructed it, so it's basically a blazer with sleeves and a collar. Taking something masculine and making it more feminine," tells Preview.

2. BLING & CO. Cupcake
Sassa Gurl's catsuit by Christian Paculan was the perfect interpretation of a stripped-down Barbie, but our favorite outfit detail was her arm candy of choice for the night—a Bling & Co. Cupcake!

3. ROCIO
When you have a fashion emergency, it's always good to have a bestie to rely on. And for Best Dressed honoree Issa Pressman, someone came in clutch! "Last night, I was like 'Oh my gosh, I have no bags!' So I messaged my real good friend Stephanie Zubiri and she sent me a bunch of pictures until I was like, 'This is going to be the perfect one!'"
4. LOUIS VUITTON Petit Malle
Chanty Videla went for a simple and elegant Hollywood-inspired nude one-shoulder gown and collaborated with her stylist to select a clutch with a special meaning. "This is Louis Vuitton. We went for the green clutch parang meron 'tong konting pop of color. And of course, this color also represents me in my group LAPILLUS, so I like the color green."

5. BOTTEGA VENETA
Bianca Umali is a former Best Dressed List honoree, so we knew she would turn heads in her Preview Ball 2024 ensemble. Clad in a custom tulle creation by designer Joe San Antonio, she chose two words to describe her look and who she really is: "simple and straightforward." Fun fact: Bianca did her own makeup and told Preview that she used concealer for her lips!
6. A Hand-Painted Clutch Bag
Gazini Ganados chose to go the sustainable route for the Preview Ball nude carpet, wearing a glamorous outfit she restyled from her closet! However, it was her unique accessory that caught our eye: a white clutch bag with a portrait of Audrey Hepburn saying "Elegance is the only beauty that never fades." The purse was given to her by James, her close friend from Dubai. "He painted it himself! He said it should be given to me because he can see similarities [with the quote]. Our friendship never changed throughout the years, so he thinks it's elegant," she reveals to Preview.
7. TDLG
Style Icon Tweetie De Leon brought a unique piece to the Preview Ball. Specifically, a vintage TDLG bag she designed! "I had it made in the north, where the craft is from. It's metal weave on kamagong, with my signature semi-precious stones," she shares with Preview.
8. SIMONE ROCHA Egg Bag
Preview Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos-Clemente supported local creatives by arriving in a stylish multi-layered outfit by Bagasáo, one of the Best Filipino Fashion Designer honorees. Clutching Simone Rocha's signature pearl egg bag, we're truly curious to know what exactly can fit inside!

9. HA.MU x Orias Roller Bag
HA.MU designer Abraham Guardian brought something special to the Preview Ball 2024: The Limited Edition Roller Bag in Egg White! A HA.MU x ORIAS collaboration, the bag is a design integration of Vin Orias' iconic Roller Bag and one of HA.MU's signature icons, the egg. As Abraham shares, "Vin and HA.MU played with the design's opacity, achieving a playful yet very wearable handbag."
