We're all pretty accustomed to seeing engagement and wedding rings all over social media, given that it's a longstanding tradition across different cultures and beliefs. But how often do you come across a "divorce ring," and one made of all-natural diamonds too. On Tuesday, March 19th, 32 year-old Emily Ratajkowski (also known as Em Rata to many) shared a series of selfies with two white diamond rings on her fingers. Custom made by New York-based fine jewelry brand Alison Lou, netizens seem to believe that the rings mark the finalization of her divorce from film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard. The two had originally split in 2022 after being married for four years.

The divorce rings were reworked from Emily's two-stone engagement ring from 2018 by the same jeweler. Called a toi et moi (you and me), the ring features a three-carat, pear-shaped diamond and a two-carat, princess-cut diamond, put together atop an 18-carat yellow gold band.

Almost six years after the engagement, Emily collaborated with Alison Lou to–quite literally–split the two stones and make separate rings. "We made the original two-stone engagement ring that set the trend…Here we go again @emrata Divorce Rings™?," the American jeweler quipped on Instagram.
