In the third season of Emily in Paris, Paul Forman joined the cast as Nicolas de Leon, an heir to a conglomerate touted as the love interest of Mindy Chen, played by Ashley Park, who also happens to be Emily's best friend. Beyond the swoon-worthy on-screen moments, off-screen dating rumors between the two co-stars started circulating in October 2023. The speculation began after they were seen holding hands at The Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner.
However, their relationship wasn't officially confirmed until January 2024, when Ashley opened up about her harrowing experience with a critical septic shock. During her hospitalization, the 33-year-old actress shared how Paul remained steadfastly by her side. "Grateful most of all to @peforman [Paul Forman] for being unconditionally by my side through all this," she captioned the post. "I love you, Paul. More than I can ever say."
In an August 2024 interview with Cosmopolitan US, Ashley revealed that their off-screen romance blossomed during the production of Emily in Paris. "We were just friends. We would hang out very platonically," she shared. While Ashley initially didn’t think much of it, Lily Collins was quick to notice the undeniable chemistry between her and Paul. "[Lily] was like, 'Ashley, what is going on?' And I replied, 'Nothing. I told you I wasn’t dating actors,'" Ashley recounted.

In an Instagram post, Paul shared photos of him and Ashley at the showcase, all decked out in pieces from the Irish brand's ready-to-wear lineup. "First public date with @jw_anderson," Paul wrote in the caption.
2. Checkmate
At the Balmain Fall 2024 after-party in Paris, Ashley and Paul turned heads in a coordinated black-and-white ensemble. Ashley stepped out in a diamond jacquard long-sleeved skater dress from Balmain, matched with white tights and loafer pumps. To complement Ashley's look, Paul donned a sleek single-breasted suit, paired with a white laced top underneath.
3. Chic in black
It's been said time and time again: You can never go wrong with black. In case you're headed to a fancy dinner with your beau, take some style cues from Ashley and Paul. During the launch event of Parisian perfumery COTY, Ashley and Paul made their way to the cocktail party dressed in black from head to toe. In the fourth episode of Emily in Paris season four, Mindy made a memorable entrance on stage in a dazzling pink dress by Swiss designer Kevin Germanier. 5. Premiere night looks
At the premiere of their series' fourth season, the on-screen partners-turned-real-life couple made a stylish entrance at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles.
