With holiday parties coming up left and right, event clothes with picture-perfect details are a must for the season. One trend in particular that's been catching our eye is the drop-waist. First used in 1920's flapper-style dresses, a drop-waist is the combination of a streamlined bodice that transitions into a low-slung waist. It's a subtle detail that can be both feminine, romantic, and even sporty, with iterations of the trend appearing on the runways of Jil Sander, Jonathan Anderson, and Loewe.
Below, scroll through some of your favorite celebrities wearing the trend!
LOOK: Celebs Wearing the Drop-Waist Trend
Cassy Legaspi
Cassy Legaspi looked delightfully feminine in this little black dress. She styled the look with nude, pointed slingbacks and put a bow in her hair to match the shoestring bows adorning her dress.

Catriona Gray
Catriona Gray wore this drop-waist dress from Rajo Laurel while exploring Mexico City. She looked absolutely adorable off-duty, pairing her ankle-length dress with a pair of ballet flats and artfully tousled hair.

Anne Curtis
Anne Curtis posed in front of her Christmas tree while twirling in a pale pink frock. We especially love how the button detail adds a romantic touch to the drop-waist silhouette.

Liz Uy
If you want to go for a more dramatic approach, make like Liz Uy and don a dark dress for more visual impact. If you look a bit closer, you'll also notice her dress utilizes two different fabrics for the top and bottom to create a bit of texture play.

Julia Barretto
Just like Liz, Julia Barretto's dress also uses two different fabrics for the top and bottom. By combining silk and tulle, she looks every bit like a Disney princess in her soft, airy frock.

Nadine Lustre
Nadine Lustre wore a purple Patty Ang gown that featured a fitted top that cascaded into a drop-waist skirt with whimsical feather accents.
