Set against the picturesque views of Antipolo, Kiana Valenciano and Sandro Tolentino hosted their second wedding ceremony with a celebration of Filipino culture and tradition. Guests embraced the theme by donning barongs and piña ensembles, perfectly complementing the rustic outdoor setting. And of course, high-profile attendees—which included the bride’s star-studded extended family—all made sure to arrive in stylish ensembles. And of course, among those present from Team Pangilinan was Gen Z actor Donny Pangilinan, who seamlessly stepped up to the wedding’s sartorial tone.
LOOK: Donny Pangilinan Wears a Custom Barong Tagalog by Happy Andrada
Ever the dapper gent, Donny’s look was a striking take on the traditional barong tagalog attire. Wearing a custom piece by award-winning designer Happy Andrada, the Chinese-collared barong featured intricate green embroidery all over. The creation’s highlight was undoubtedly the illustrations of elements in traditional Filipino culture, which included images of the iconic bahay kubo, a jeepney, a kalabaw, and the puno ng saging—among others. Keeping the overall styling minimal and refined, Donny paired the statement piece with tailored black trousers and polished leather dress shoes.

While Donny’s barong is a bespoke one-of-one creation, a similar design is also available in Happy Andrada’s selection of ready-to-wear pieces. Called the “Pista sa Nayon,” this barong incorporates a similar motif with elements of Filipino culture. Unlike Donny’s formal version, however, this relaxed iteration features a short-sleeved collared shirt silhouette.
