It truly is prime time for David Licauco. After cementing his status as a highly bankable actor with Maria Clara at Ibarra, the freshly minted leading man is enjoying his time under the spotlight, almost 10 years since he's debuted in the industry.
This new season of David is celebrated on the Preview October 2023 cover. Drawing inspiration from '80s and '90s action stars, we see the 29-year-old in dynamic moves and dapper outfits, commanding every scene with magnetic ease. Press play to find out what went down at the shoot!

"It's been quite a long time coming for David, but he's managed to reach the point in his career where he's one of the most bankable leading men in his generation," Preview Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos-Clemente shares.
"Overall, the idea was for him to exude this '80s, '90s action star energy, and he did it," she adds. "He understood the memo, and at the shoot, he was very much in character."
Groomed by his go-to Nathan Ferolino, and decked in head to toe luxury pieces from Prada, Boss, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Massimo Dutti, Dune, and of course, the Hector dog bag from Thom Browne, David looked every bit like the cinematic leading man described in the shoot deck. "We referenced stills from Asian films and anime," Creative Director Bacs Arcebal explains.
Lensed by Renzo Navarro, the CFA grounds was transformed into a blockbuster scene with David owning each frame like the main character that he is.
