Content creator Alyssa "Aly" Madriaga recently had her dream crochet-themed wedding with her husband Clifford. In a previous interview with Bride and Breakfast, Aly shared her passion for crafting. "Being able to craft means a lot to me because it is my creative self-expression, and turning my imagination into reality is fulfilling."
She also emphasized her love for DIY projects, expressing that they add a personal touch to make her wedding experience even more unique and memorable.

In a previous post on her Facebook page, Crafter's Muse by Aly, the bride revealed that her journey into the world of crochet began at the tender age of seven. It was the mother of her friend who taught her how to crochet. Fast-forward 23 years later, and Aly still continues to showcase her dedication to her craft by posting her works online and even selling her crochet patterns for others to recreate her designs.

But her most impressive work yet? Handcrafting most of her pre-wedding and wedding essentials. From the clothes worn during their pre-nuptial shoot to the bouquet and venue decorations, Aly left no detail untouched. She even sewed her own wedding gown and crocheted all eight of her bridesmaids' dresses, making her DIY wedding truly one-of-a-kind.

While all of her creations were definitely stunning, it was the pieces she designed for herself that really stood out. Get a closer look at her creations below:
LOOK: This Bride Handmade the Gowns for Her Wedding Day
1. For her bridal robe, Aly used light pink yarn. Featuring a ruffled sweetheart neckline adorned by different roses, the structured bodice and flowing kimono sleeves gave off a dainty, ethereal, cottagecore vibe, showcasing Aly's unique style and creativity.

2. While her wedding gown wasn’t crocheted, it was still handmade by the bride. Featuring a dainty sweetheart neckline and a corset with a flowing skirt, the dress comprised four layers of fabric, including hard tulle, duchess satin, crinoline, and lace, creating an extravagant look. Embellished with embroidered and beaded flowers and gems, the gown radiated elegance and sophistication.

3. For the reception, Aly opted for a more pared-down yet elegant look, choosing a form-fitting mermaid dress. The crochet pattern added a sultry touch.

For those wondering if Aly is taking any orders, she has already clarified on her page that she does not accept commissions and only sells crochet patterns. She wrote, “I want crochet to be my creative space, na pwede ko gawin any time or kapag inspired ako. Sa custom-made kasi, design ni client susundan ko.”
She also explained how some designs that clients may want her to make might be copied from someone else, and she doesn’t feel comfortable making a profit out of it. “Mas comfortable ako sa pattern making kasi own concept ko 'yung binibenta and ginagawa.” You can, however, follow Aly on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Tiktok where she shares her crochet works.
