Chris Nick dives into the dark allure of ‘80s Wall Street power dressing with his Fall/Winter 2025 collection, a sartorial homage to American Psycho. The cult classic novel-turned-film—etched into his memory since childhood—serves as the foundation for a collection that reinterprets Patrick Bateman’s signature wardrobe through a female lens. The result? A sharply tailored, hyper-masculine aesthetic, embodied by the collection’s muse, Fil-Am actress Max Collins.

By translating Bateman’s obsessive perfectionism into fashion, Chris Nick’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection is both a statement on power and a reflection of his own meticulous approach to design.

“Patrick Bateman’s character was forever embedded into my system, my brain chemistry if you will—the way he was, the way he acted, the way he dressed, his vanity, his aggressiveness, his eye for perfection and beautiful things,” says Chris. “The way he was so perfect on the outside but on the inside was a complete disaster… was something that was just so captivating to me.”

This season, Chris presents a wardrobe that mirrors Bateman’s polished yet deeply unsettling duality. Boxy silhouettes, exaggerated lapels, and broad-shouldered blazers evoke the power dressing of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s Wall Street. “Everything is almost exclusively cut for the male figure, in fact, they’re my measurements,” he reveals. “Perhaps that’s where the vanity kicks in.”

A study in discipline and repetition, the collection transitions from sleek, minimalist daywear in varying shades of gray to the ultimate expression of refinement—black tie dressing. Pncil-cut skirts, tailored wide-leg pants, and structured coats reinforce the rigidity of uniform dressing, reflecting the designer’s own personal style. “For me, this look, this American Psycho fascination, isn’t a trend—it is truly the way I dress and truly something I adore.”
