In recent trips to Paris and Tokyo, the fabulous siblings debuted on their respective Instagram accounts what might just be the chicest designer gumboots ever made. As documented in one of her IG reels, Verniece scored not just one but two pairs of Chanel's rain boots from the European city—shopping for herself and not forgetting her sister Vern in the process, of course!
The French luxury fashion house's take on the Wellington boot is made from Caoutchouc, a non-vulcanized natural rubber fiber with an almost leather-like look and feel. The maison's iconic "CC" emblem is emblazoned on the front thigh panel and inside the boot is usually lined with a dark red or black interior.
Verniece called dibs on a classic black pair, which she immediately sported during one of her outings in the City of Lights, teaming it with long scrunched-up gray socks. Chanel's rain boots were the perfect footwear to complement her monochromatic Parisian ensemble comprised of a Prada bandeau top worn over a crisp white shirt, which she paired with a mini skirt and a long black coat. Tres chic!
Meeting her sister in Tokyo a few days later, Verniece shared a much-awaited twinning moment with Vern, who styled her beige Chanel boots with a pleated mini skirt rendered in the same neutral hue plus a white tailored blouse. Meanwhile, Verniece re-wore her black gumboots with a beige turtleneck under a dark brown leather coat. We're totally loving this matchy-matchy fashion sitch!
