Four years after her last public performance, the incomparable Celine Dion made an unforgettable return to the big stage—on the Eiffel tower, no less.
On the evening of July 26, the five-time Grammy Award winner closed the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics after the lighting of the cauldron. Clad in a dazzling gown from Dior, she sang Edith Piaf's L’Hymne à l’amour from the first platform of the world-famous tower itself, the stage standing 187 feet above ground.
The whole performance was absolutely spellbinding!

As for jewelry, Celine wore slim diamond drop earrings, as well as colossal diamond rings on her right hand.

The World Reacts to Celine Dion's First Performance After Four Years
The public was elated by the Queen of Power Ballad's monumental return. In the hit 2024 Amazon Prime documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, the French-Canadian singer gave the world a vulnerable and raw look at her struggles with stiff person syndrome, a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that causes painful and involuntary muscle spasms, and bouts of stiffness. She was officially diagnosed in December 2022, leading to the cancellation of her world tour in 2023.
On Instagram, Celine received numerous comments praising her graceful return to the stage despite her health crisis. Even Cindi Lauper sent in her support!

Congratulations, Celine, and all the best to the participating athletes at this year's Olympics in Paris!
