Spirits are still high even after the abrupt end of Celeste Cortesi's Miss Universe journey. The 25-year-old may have not made it to the end of the competition, but she still certainly made a strong case for the crown.
Since she didn't make it to the evening gown segment of finals night, pageant fans may be left wondering about her supposed look. To get all the details on it, Preview got in touch with her designer Oliver Tolentino, and his team revealed to us the inspiration of the stellar ensemble.

Described as a "nude tulle deep v-neck mermaid gown with different shades of blue sequins," the garment was inspired by Celeste's late father. The beauty queen had input on the look and wanted the sequins to form a butterfly pattern as tribute to him.
Each glimmering crystal on the dress was painstakingly sewn by hand. As we all may be aware now, blue is Celeste's signature color, since it harks back to being "heavenly," which is what her name translates to from Italian.
Oliver goes on, stating: "Whether Celeste wins tonight or not, Filipinos should view her already as a winner. Her personality is her beauty no matter what, and kindness should be our beauty as a people." We totally echo the sentiment!
