Gone are the days when repeating an article of clothing was seen as a fashion faux pas. In this day and age, sustainable efforts have taken the fashion world by storm, and the more mindful we are of our clothing choices, the better. That being said, building a capsule wardrobe is always a good idea to have in mind whenever making a new purchase. Owning versatile pieces that can be worn again and again doesn’t just save us a ton of money, but it's also our own small contribution to stopping the toxic cycle of hoarding trendy clothes that are cast aside after the season is over.
Recently, we asked several celebrities and influencers about their favorite piece of clothing to rewear, and one thing they all had in common was how their chosen piece can be styled with just about anything!
LOOK: Celebrities and Influencers Share the Fashion Item They Love Rewearing
1. Ashley Colet
“One of the pieces I will never ever get tired of is my classic white tee [and] blue jean combo. As my style is pretty minimalistic, I find that wearing the basics is just the way to go. You can dress it up with a cute blazer and heels, or down with just a pair of sneakers or sandals! It’s so timeless and effortless yet chic and eye-catching!”
“For me, it’s my fave cargo pants. I've reworn it so many times already. It just works with everything I own. It’s my fave color and it’s just comfy to wear.”

"One piece of clothing that never goes wrong is a white tank top. It’s extremely versatile and can fit any aesthetic, as long as you accessorize properly! If we’re talking about accessories, my go-to is the perfect pair of sunglasses, especially in the summer. I love matching my outfits with my eyewear and I feel that a good pair of black shades elevates any outfit!"

“The one piece of clothing I’d rewear again and again is a pair of well-fitting trousers. It’s always a struggle to find good bottoms for plus-size women so whenever I find one, I always rewear it for sure.”

“I would say my wide-legged pants. It’s not exactly just one piece. I have like three on rotation. I feel the most myself in them and they’re comfortable. I honestly don’t really have a problem with wearing clothes over and over again but my wide-leg pants are definitely the most overused.”

My Boston Birks! Firstly, my birks have a suede material that makes them very comfortable. I have them in Taupe, which is a neutral color and goes with absolutely everything. I love wearing them with denim jeans and any neutral-colored top.”

“If there’s one piece of clothing I’d rewear again and again, that would be an oversized white button-down. You can easily mix and match it with other pieces in your wardrobe while creating a simple yet stylish look every time. It may seem basic, [but] it’s actually one of the most versatile items in your closet because it can be worn in so many ways. You can wear one to the office or to go out with friends, use one to complete your date look, try it as a beach cover-up, or throw it on for effortless style while running errands. The possibilities are endless.”
