LOOK: The Best Celebrity Wedding Gowns of 2023
1. Lovi Poe
Lovi Poe wanted a Filipino designer for her English countryside wedding so she could have a piece of her home country during her big day. Designed by Patricia Santos and styled by Adrianne Concepcion, her gown was a Victorian-inspired masterpiece. The lace fabric used is the exact same one as Kate Middleton’s iconic Alexander McQueen dress. Featuring a daring, backless silhouette with leg-of-mutton sleeves, Lovi's dress made her look like the perfect English Victorian bride.

2. Maja Salvador
Celebrity stylist Cath Sobrevega revealed that they wanted a dress that complemented both Maja’s style and her destination wedding in Bali. "Just something classic and ethereal," she said. So they went with a masterpiece from Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2023 Bridal Collection featuring a corseted bodice, delicately showcasing Maja’s décolletage and a masterfully crafted train made with exquisitely embroidered lace.

3. Pia Wurtzbach
Designed by her friend and trusted designer, Bessie Besana, Pia Wurtzbach's wedding gown was based on (her then-fiance) Jeremy Jauncey’s vision of Pia walking down the aisle. The corseted bodice, made with soft Chantilly lace, and the sultry slit embodied Jeremy's vision. Meanwhile, the sleek front silhouette and dramatic train were Pia’s touch.

4. Verniece Enciso
Verniece Enciso’s wedding ceremony was nothing short of lavish. Wearing an intricately crafted ball gown, a luxurious creation by the renowned Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco, the dress was adorned with sequins, ostrich feathers, and a sweetheart neckline, boasting a dramatic cascading train that rivals the length of the veil. Given its size, they even found it challenging to fit it into the car.

5. Alodia Gosiengfiao
Cosplay Queen Alodia Gosiengfiao and Christopher Quimbo’s wedding was probably one of the most unforgettable weddings of this year; for one, her dragon-inspired gown made by Mak Tumang was jaw-dropping. Made to be worn three ways, when not splayed out in its full glory, the train can be cinched to the waist as a voluminous overskirt, or on the shoulders as a princess-like cape. It was a fantasy dress come to life, truly fit for the likes of Alodia. Matching her gorgeous gown was an equally impressive pair of bespoke shoes from Shoepatos by Doreen Odvina.

6. Glaiza De Castro
Glaiza De Castro and David Rainey first got hitched in the groom’s homeland in Northern Ireland before saying "I do" a second time around on the scenic shores of Zambales surrounded by Glaiza’s closest friends and family. For her tropical Filipiniana wedding, she wore a gown designed by Jo Rubio, which was a modern twist on the traditional terno. Floral lace appliques adorned the gown, complemented by twin butterfly sleeves and a voluminous tulle skirt with a thigh-high slit.

7. Venus Raj
Venus Raj tied the knot to her non-showbiz partner North Orillan in an elegant Francis Libiran frock. The ball gown silhouette, structured strapless top, intricate embroidery, and sparkling embellishments create a regal and sophisticated look most fitting for the beauty queen. Completing her ensemble, Venus wore a simple diamond necklace, square-cut earrings, and a long veil that trailed elegantly behind her as she walked down the aisle.

8. Maine Mendoza
Maine Mendoza didn’t have just one wedding look when she tied the knot to Arjo Atayde, but three. For the main event, she wore a minimalist, but ever elegant strapless number designed by Rajo Laurel. For the reception, Maine changed into a classic strapless lace bustier dress with an A-line skirt from the Israel-based wedding brand Mira Zwillinger. For her last look, Maine threw on a fringe mini dress with an asymmetrical bustier bodice that screamed “party-ready.”

9. Ella Pangilinan
Another Rajo Laurel bride, Ella Pangilinan's wedding gown is a modern take on the traditional terno dress. The form-fitting mermaid-style bodice, sweetheart neckline, and floor-grazing train exuded sophistication, while the intricate beadwork forming flowers and leaves on the butterfly sleeves made for a touch of whimsy.

10. Janeena Chan
Rounding off the list is Janeena Chan's Christmas-themed wedding featuring four stunning dresses styled by Cath Sobrevega. Janeena’s festive wedding started with a bell-sleeved dressing gown by Happy Andrada which featured a mullet skirt, with a shorter length in the front and a flowing train at the back. The second was a classic halter white gown fashioned by Chris Nick and styled with a 1920s fascinator. For the main event, Janeena looked every bit like a princess in a strapless ball gown by Daniel Manila Createur accessorized with sheer gloves sprinkled with rhinestones and a bow atop her head to secure her veil. The bride then slipped into a sultry strapless gown by Julianne Syjuco for the reception, which drew inspiration from the Christmas Angel.
