For the third year in a row, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray served as a commentator for the pageant’s 73rd edition in Mexico. Always the scene stealer, she looked majestic as ever while captivating the audience with her unbridled energy as she hosted alongside Zuri Hall. Styled by Justine Aliman, Catriona once again donned the creation of Filipino talent on stage, proving the beauty of Pinoy craftsmanship.

LOOK: Catriona Gray’s Outfits for Miss Universe 2024
For her first look, Catriona was a vision in white, dressed in a custom beaded inabel frock with a halter neckline by Anthony Ramirez. She even paid homage to the pageant’s host country by posting a photoshoot hours before the show.

As per her Instagram caption, she and her team were inspired by Mexico’s diverse prints and bold patterns. In the gorgeous images taken by Alan Segui, Catriona showed off the same outfit’s sultry thigh-high slit while backgrounded by a vibrant floral tapestry.

Pretty in pink, Catriona was a showstopper in her second outfit designed by Jaggy Glarino. The custom dress, according to her Instagram, is a celebration of the power and grace of womanhood. Her gown’s striking color was also inspired by the dahlia, Mexico’s national flower.

The concept for this number's studio shoot took its lead from Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, further exemplified in her makeup and hair by Angelina Dela Cruz and Brent Sales respectively. She completed the ensemble with pink gloves that brought attention to her accessories by Jhaena Jewels.
