The designer aims to stir the Milanese label's direction towards pieces that uphold their craftsmanship practices while also meeting the needs of today's stylistas. Enter the Andiamo, a carryall that utilizes the brand's intrecciato weaving method in a delightfully practical manner.
What Is the Bottega Veneta Andiamo?
With a name that means "let's go" in Italian, the Andiamo is made to go places. Debuted during the Spring/Summer 2023 season of Milan Fashion Week, the bag was an instant scene-stealer due to its capacious shape that contrasted the tiny totes of seasons past (think the quirky Sardine and the omnipresent Jodie.)
Woven by hand, the Andiamo came in pragmatic squarish and rectangular sizes that matched the collection's ready-to-wear aesthetic. It was distinguished by a singular handle and a gold metallic knot looped through an adjustable strap. As with all Bottega Veneta models, it's been reimagined into various shapes, variations, and colorways.
More than a year since its debut, the Andiamo continues to rise in popularity, which isn't surprising given the fashion world's current inclination to roomy yet chic carriers.
The Different Kinds of the Bottega Veneta Andiamo
You'll usually find the Andiamo in small, medium, and large iterations. The most petite of them all measures 20 centimeters in height, 25 centimeters in width, and 10 centimeters in depth.
