The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics is beginning to look a lot like Fashion Week as countries have begun unveiling their athletes' ceremonial uniforms. Given Paris' status as a fashion hub, it's no surprise that this year's uniforms are particularly impressive with different brands and famed designers being tapped as the official outfitters for certain countries. Ahead, we've rounded up some of the most standout designs:
The Best Paris 2024 Olympic Uniforms
1. Mongolia by Michel & Amazonka
After previously designing the athletic kits for their team at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Michel & Amazonka has delivered a stunning tribute to Mongolian heritage with their Olympic uniforms once again. This year, they’ve draped the athletes in long, flowing robes, complete with embroidered vests in a striking blue and crisp white variation finished with traditional Gutal boots. For the women, the look is elevated with elegant earrings and a chic pouch to match. Motifs symbolizing the Olympic torch and the unity of Mongolia’s diverse ethnic groups are embroidered delicately into the vests with gold thread.

2. Canada by Lululemon
Designed by one of the most coveted sportswear brands, Lululemon, Canada’s kits stand out with their striking red hue. When seen up close, the design features motifs of different art, architecture, and flora and fauna found in their country, a beautiful reminder to the athletes of their home. The closing ceremony outfit, on the other hand, dazzles with an illumination print inspired by the northern lights, created by artist Mason Mashon. Designed with practicality in mind, they’re also built to handle the unpredictable Paris weather, featuring a packable rain poncho and a vented jacquard bomber jacket.

3. Spain by Joma
Spain’s uniforms, designed by Joma, radiate the country’s passion and vibrancy to a tee. The ensemble features a striking burgundy blazer adorned with the Olympic patch, paired with cream trousers and a sleek button-up shirt for men. The women’s outfits include sunray-pleated skirts in a dynamic gradient of red, yellow, orange, and white. With a commitment to sustainability, Joma has chosen eco-friendly fabrics like recycled polyester and organic cotton. These uniforms are not just a fashion statement but a nod to Spain’s rich, colorful culture and a step towards a greener future.

4. France by Berluti
As the host of this year’s Olympics and the very birthplace of fashion itself, France wouldn’t let themselves be left behind. For their team, Berluti was tapped to bring Parisian sophistication to the French uniforms. Men will rock a navy blazer with a refined shawl lapel burnished with the French flag’s colors of burgundy, white, and cerulean. Women’s ensembles feature a vest with the same shawl lapel, paired with either tailored trousers or a navy satin skirt. Berluti’s footwear options include sleek BerlutiShadow trainers for men and bespoke loafers for women.

5. Australia by Sports Craft
Australia’s athletes will sport loose-fitted emerald green blazers with gold buttons, cream shorts for men, and sunray pleat skirts for women. Each blazer is embroidered with the names of all 301 Australian Olympic champions and the Australian Olympic oath, adding a touch of history and pride.

6. Philippines by Francis Libiran
After his previous stints designing for the SEA games, renowned Filipino designer Francis Libiran makes his Olympic debut with the Sinag barong. Made of pina-jusi fabric, each barong is adorned with a sling arm sleeve in the Philippine flag’s colors and embroidered with golden sun rays. To make it even more special, each piece is custom made to fit every athlete.

7. USA by Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren continues to define American Olympic style with a nod to classic preppy vibes. For the opening ceremony, athletes will don a navy blazer with white and red trim, paired with washed denim jeans and a striped shirt. The closing ceremony will feature a sleek all-white outfit, including a zip-up bomber jacket and matching jeans emblazoned with "USA."

8. Netherlands by Denham
The Dutch are definitely the cool kids on the block this Olympics 2024. DENHAM, the official fashion partner of the Netherlands for the Olympics, has been firmly rooted in the Dutch community. Known for their denim work, they bring the retro jock style to the Olympic ceremonies with varsity jackets and denim jackets with patches of the country’s flag and the number 24. Keeping it casual and cool (literally) with cooling thermal-regulating technology and aerogel yarns incorporated into the denim.

9. Haiti by Stella Jean
This year, the Haiti team will be representing their country in vibrant uniforms designed by Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean. She weaved the work of Haitian artist Philippe Dodard into her design, featured in the trousers and skirts of the athletes. The women will be pairing their skirts with light blue chambray shirts and sleeveless blazers made from recycled fabric, while the men will wear striped shirts, scarves, and jackets inspired by the men’s summer shirts loved by Haitian men known as Guayabera.

10. Czech Republic by Alpine Pro
With over 600 countries making an appearance at the Olympic ceremonies this July, standing out is a must, and the Czech contingent’s uniforms are sure to catch your attention. Designed by Czech sportswear brand Alpine Pro, they’re wearing a distinctive and modern blue and white trench coat, inspired by the Czech “balo ák” coat, which the head of the Czech Olympic Committee, Ji?í Kejval, said in a press release was meant to honor the host country due to the clothing item’s popularity in France.
