Belle Mariano is living her Disney princess dreams. The renowned actress was chosen to sing the Tagalog version of Moana 2's closing credits song, "Beyond," translated for her rendition as "Anong Daratnan."

She fully embraced this major milestone in a press interview for the song by channeling the beloved Disney character. In a sit-down talk with media, Belle came dressed in Moana’s signature island-girl look from the first film, as styled by Adrianne Concepcion and Miss Vince. With her hair down in beach waves, she was Moana’s spitting image in an orange tube top and a nude skirt adorned with puka shells.

"Anong Daratnan" was officially released on streaming platforms last November 23, 2024. In a media release, Belle expressed being grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “Moana is one of my favorite Disney characters, and I’m really emulating her fearlessness in my rendition of this song,” she said. Belle is now part of the Disney history books as "Anong Daratnan" is set to be the first-ever Tagalog song that will be played in a Walt Disney Animation Studios film.
The song is exclusive to the Philippines as a special ending track, a decision made by the production company in hopes of connecting more with the Filipino audience. “By collaborating with local talents like Belle for Moana 2, we hope fans in the Philippines resonate deeply with the beautiful lyrics of 'Beyond' and experience Moana’s excitement as she embarks on a new voyage to explore the far seas of Oceania,” shared Rachel Fong, Studio General Manager and Integrated Marketing Director of The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia.

"Beyond" was written by Grammy Award-winning songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, the same musical geniuses behind the The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical. Its original English version is sung by the film’s star, Auli'i Cravalho.
Moana 2 is set three years after the events of the first film. The titular heroine will embark on another journey with her demigod friend, Maui, and the rest of her crew as they journey to Oceania. Their mission: to break a god’s curse on the mysterious island of Motufetu, which used to connect the people of the ocean.
It will be released in Philippine theaters on November 27, 2024.
