LOOK: Barbie Forteza Wore the Daintiest Upcycled Outfit to "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda"
Barbie's balletcore OOTD for her TV guesting was an upcycled garment made from an archival tafetta black skirt that was worn by her character Klay in the hit series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
"The dress was actually upcycled from an archive Tafetta Black skirt we used for Klay in Maria Clara at Ibarra," Jan, Barbie's stylist, reveals. "Barbie and I wanted to achieve a timeless but youthful look, and do our part by wearing something sustainable."
It’s true that fast fashion has become even more of a rampant concern these days. With the fashion industry being responsible for about 8 to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions, it’s important to find ways to do our part to help reduce these numbers, and this chic outfit by Barbie proves that you can be stylish and sustainable at the same time.
We especially love the tulle detail underneath the skirt that adds more femininity and flair to her look. Barbie completed the elegant all-black ensemble with a pair of peep-toe platform pumps from Christian Louboutin and jewelry from Love Rocks.
Barbie's natural beauty radiated thanks to her fresh makeup look, courtesy of Fatima Mercado. And her long locks, which were tied up into a sleek ponytail, gave off an even more refined look thanks to the white ribbon.
You look lovely, Barbie!
