As Anne Curtis celebrates her birthday today, the actress took it to social media to post photos to commemorate her 39th year. She teamed up with fashion photographer BJ Pascual, makeup artist Robbie Piñera, and hairstylist Raymond Santiago for a sultry photoshoot.
"Birthday ko? Barefaced birthday," Anne writes in her Instagram post. "Thank you for all the warmest greetings." She might be alluding to a hilarious conversation she and co-host Vice Ganda had on It's Showtime in 2017. While interviewing an OFW contestant on their show, Vice said, "Alam mo, bukod sa hirap ng trabaho sa ibang bansa, ang pinakamahirap na hinaharap ng Pilipino dun ay yung pagka-miss nila sa pamilya nila sa Pilipinas. Homesick, diba?"
"Lalo na during Christmas, or family celebrations na you're meant to be together, diba?" Anne replied.
"Birthday mo," Vice said in return.
Misunderstanding what her co-host meant, Anne blurted out a confused, "Birthday ko?"
"Hinde, kunyare, birthday mo," Vice clarified, meaning he was continuing her list of occasions. "Huy, Anne, sa paningin mo, bakit mamimiss ng OFW yung birthday mo?" Which sent the audience laughing.
The photos depict a softer side of Anne, featuring effortlessly tousled locks and the barest of beauty looks. The minimalist styling made use of an all-black palette and used only two pieces of clothing: a leather jacket from Alexander McQueen and a high waisted brief from Alaïa.
