Creative director Seán McGirr first unveiled the furry footwear at the Autumn/Winter 2024 showcase, which flaunted details reminiscent of a pair of horse hooves. The Hoof Boots are available in different iterations–the black boots come attached with a tail, while the brown pair is rendered more realistically, crafted with calf hair. A commonality is the horseshoe sole silhouette and silver-finished nail studs that mirror its animal inspiration.
Celebrities like Lana Del Rey have sported it at the Met Gala, while singer Charli XCX has worn the boots for album promotion. This isn’t the first time that Alexander McQueen shoes made their way down pop culture fame either, as Lady Gaga wore the label’s famous Armadillo shoes in her “Bad Romance” music video.
