In these difficult times, it's hard to find even a sliver of good news anywhere you look. Still, in the midst of the bleak grayness the COVID-19 pandemic has brought upon our country, Filipino fashion designer Adrian Pe's fun, colorful, rainbow-hued PPE suits have made Iloilo's hardworking medical frontliners smile behind their masks. Check 'em out:
"Teletubbies-themed hazmats for our frontliners!" Adrian—who, by the way, also happens to be a registered cardiovascular operating room nurse—cheerily captioned his post. Fun fact: The Medical City Iloilo's nurses themselves actually helped piece the gear together. We're completely awestruck.
"I work a lot in the hospital and the work there is exhausting. And I have always taught myself to look for the beauty in it; to look [for] the beauty in the faces of the patients and to be grateful," he went on. "And I will bring this aspect, as a nurse-designer, to see situations with a silver lining, and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson."
