Twenty-three-year-old Abi Marquez is known as the "Lumpia Queen" of TikTok thanks to her endearing cooking reels. With 3.4 million followers and 89 million likes on the social media platform alone, she proves to be a deserving recipient of the People's Voice Award at the 2024 Webby Awards.

The Webby Awards are an annual ceremony honoring excellence on the internet, which includes advertising efforts, online film, and mobile content. At Cipriano Wall Street in New York City last May 14, Abi made history as the first-ever Filipino born and raised in the Philippines to obtain such a distinction.
Upon claiming her trophy on stage, the TikToker exclaimed: "Philippines, this is for you!" A short but oh-so-sweet speech!

Abi was beaming with Pinoy pride as she graced the event, clad in a Filipiniana gown by Santi Obcena. The frock had an ivory-hued bustier which had ruffles cascading into tiers of blush pink tulle. Her stylist Pam Ricarte teamed the look with a minaudiere fashioned after a shell.

As per her glam, J Valldi Styling pulled back her brown tresses and had two tendrils framing her visage. They echoed the pink tones of her skirt with shimmery eyeshadow and matte lippie.

This isn't the first time Abi has been recognized for her work on the web. In October 2023, she was honored as the TikTok Foodie Creator of the Year. This was followed by a nomination under the social media category from the James Beard Awards (a.k.a. the Oscars of food), which will be held later this year.
