Dian Serranilla took the Internet by storm when she celebrated her 18th birthday last March 28 at the Mall of Asia Arena. She is now famously referred to as the "MOA Arena debutante."
In case you're wondering why she opted to stage her party at this gigantic venue, she told Candymag.com, "MOA Arena was the top choice because the venue met all the specifications needed for the stage and everything else. "A thousand guests, including celebrity couple Isabel Oli and John Prats, were gathered at the venue to witness a fashion show of sorts and a mini-concert featuring the debutante's family and friends. Nancy Crowe and Hotlegs took charge of the high-powered numbers.
Seeing all the photos from the grand celebration, we couldn't help but wonder how much they actually spent on the whole thing. PEP.ph did the legwork and researched on the costs of every important detail. Check out their findings below:
1. VENUE: MALL OF ASIA ARENA

Dian's dad Steve is into producing concerts (he brought Kanye West here) so he was naturally able to get a good deal, but the rental of the arena for four hours with the aircon on would cost around 600,000 pesos and an additional rate of 120,000 pesos for every succeeding hour.
2. CATERING: K. By Cunanan

What's a grand celebration without a sumptuous dinner? A plated meal costs 1,000 pesos per head, and she had a thousand guests. You do the math.
3. GOWNS

Albert Andrada created her opening outfit and another gown for the 18 roses portion. Also, Dubai-based Filipino designer Ezra Santos (who also made Heart Evangelista's wedding dress) did her main gown.
In an email exchange with PEP, Ezra detailed the gown he designed for Dian. It was "made of dusty green organza and tulle with hand embroidered cascading flowers in pastel green, beige, grey with light gold," and embellished with swarovzki crystals and French paillette with a detachable two-meter removable train.

He didn't disclose the actual cost of the gown, but the base price for his full lace dresses, according to broadsheets in Dubai, is Dh 80,000 or PHP 1,078,246.
4. LED INVITES: PRINT DIVAS

Dian's LED invites cost 2,500 per piece. And given the number of guests, it shouldn't come as a shock if her family spent millions on the invites alone.
Our rough estimate given the items above, excluding ex-deals, discounts, and other details: a whopping 4.7 million pesos!
