K-dramas are known to pull audiences into tears and laughter, but beyond that, they can also inspire artists to create. Take the Filipino band Sponge Cola for example, as they’ve made muses out of these Korean series by creating songs inspired by them. The latest case in point? The Netflix-streaming hit drama Queen of Tears, which they shot a music video for!

In an Instagram post, Sponge Cola frontman Yael Yuzon detailed the band’s latest foray into a K-drama-inspired track. Following 2020’s Start-Up-themed song “Siguro Nga,” the musician offered a sneak peek of their latest project inspired by Queen of Tears titled “Tatlong Buwan.”
“Wrote our new song ‘Tatlong Buwan’ after watching episode 10 of Queen of Tears and boom, flew in and out of Korea, and the music video is done!” He wrote in the caption.
The singer, who calls the project a “labor of love from a fellow Queen of Tears fan,” made his way to Seoul and Chungju to shoot scenes for the music video, which included the same locations featured in the K-drama. Scroll on to know where Yael went!
