The 77th Cannes Film Festival just wrapped on the 25th of May, and the numerous fashion wins over the course of the 11-day affair are still on our minds. This year, many Filipino stars jetted off to France to serve glamour on the red carpet, but one particular style icon was noticeably missing: Heart Evangelista.
Why Was Heart Evangelista Not at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival?
The 39-year-old tastemaker is no stranger to global galas and premiere fetes, and is constantly seen at just about any major fashion week. Therefore, a netizen couldn't help but point out her absence at the prominent film festival, whose red carpet would have been the perfect stage for Heart's sophisticated style.
"Ms. Heart!!! You need to start planning on going to Cannes Film Festival," they wrote in a comment on Heart's Instagram page.
Heart quickly replied, revealing the reason behind her inattendance. "I declined to go, 3 times actually which is sad but I believe I need to take care of my health and choose which events to prioritize," she said.
Due to the slew of events, endorsements, and other tasks Heart has on her plate, it makes sense for her to keep her priorities straight!
Her well-being, too, was recently brought to public attention once again on May 12, Mother's Day. The star took to Instagram to reveal that she had experienced her fourth miscarriage.
