On June 12, 2023, South Korean media and news publishing company OSEN reported the death of Park Soo Ryeon. The actress passed away unexpectedly due to a tragic accident that occurred last night, June 11. According to the report, she had fallen down the stairs while returning home, which resulted in a brain injury that led to her death.

1. She was a Taurus.
Born on May 2, 1994, Soo Ryeon is a Taurus and had just recently celebrated her 29th birthday.
2. She was active in theater and musical productions.
Like most successful actors and actresses of our time, Soo Ryeon started her acting career through theater. She debuted in 2018 with the musical Il Tenore and continued to actively participate in other theater works such as The Day We Loved and Siddhartha. In fact, she was set to perform in a musical at Jeju Island the day after the accident.
3. She worked alongside Jisoo and Jung Hae-in in the K-drama series "Snowdrop" (2021).
K-drama and BLACKPINK fans may recall the hit romance series Snowdrop that was released in 2021. The main protagonist of the show was played by K-idol and BLACKPINK member Jisoo beside Jung Hae In who played her love interest. Soo Ryeon played one of the detained university students. She even posted a selfie of her with Jung Hae In on set and wrote a heartfelt message in the caption, saying:
“Jung Hae In sunbaenim, after the second release of the female students, he stayed with us until the very end. It was a small role, but thank you for thinking of each and every one of the female students! I hope to meet you in another work. Although I am no longer a female student, I will watch the drama until the end.“
She also uploaded photos of the rest of her castmates, including one with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. It was her first K-drama role.
4. She was a cat lover.
Although it’s unclear whether the cat on her feed was hers or someone else’s, it's clear to see that she adored pets very much, even posting several photos of her snuggling the fur baby.

5. She was known to be a warm-hearted person.
According to the reports of her death, her family decided to donate the rest of her organs in honor of her kind and warm-hearted nature.
