Time to volt in! GMA’s live-action adaptation of Voltes V has netizens’ inner kids screaming in delight, thanks to its top-notch graphics and the potential of its storyline. Based on the hit anime from the late '70s, Voltes V: Legacy adds a uniquely Filipino spin to the iconic mecha tale with its all-Filipino cast and production, in partnership with Japan’s Toei Animation.

Following the themes and plot of the source material, the Mark Reyes-directed Voltes V: Legacy is the Filipino live-action take on the story of three brothers Steve (Miguel Tanfelix), Big Bert (Matt Lozano), and Little Jon Armstrong (Raphael Landicho), and their friends Mark Gordon (Radson Flores) and Jamie Robinson (Ysabel Ortega).

The ragtag quintet joins forces to take on the wicked forces of the Boazanians, humanoid aliens who plague the Earth with beast fighters. In the heroes’ arsenal is the titular Voltes V, a colossal super-electromagnetic robot that might be humanity’s last remaining hope.
