The biggest night in Hollywood is about to take place on March 10 (that’s March 11 in Philippine time). We’re talking about the 96th Academy Awards, of course—and what better way to root for your top picks than by watching the event in real-time with fellow cinephiles?
Microcinema Cinema ’76 will be having a live viewing of the Oscars from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, March 11 at Tomas Morato Avenue corner Scout Borromeo.
The event is open to the public and is free of charge. Do note that outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, but don’t worry as Cinema ’76 has a café with snacks that can be brought inside the movie theater!

Cinema ’76 has also provided viewers with a movie checklist in case you want to see each and every one of the Oscar nominations before the big reveal happens.
As expected, Barbie and Oppenheimer received the most nominations for the night, but other strong contenders for Best Picture include American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Past Lives, Poor Things, and Zones of Interest.
Where to watch the 2024 Oscars on livestream
As for streaming, the Oscars will be airing on Disney+ so we can catch the excitement from the comfort of our homes as they have previously offered in the past.
Red carpet starts at 6:30 a.m., while the awards show starts at 7:00 a.m. in Philippine time on March 11.

Not free in the morning? A replay of the Oscars will be available on Disney+ right after the livestream ends, so it can serve as a little treat for yourself at night. Just make sure to avoid social media for any spoilers!
