Celebrity couple Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza finally tied the knot yesterday, July 28, 2023. The ceremony was held at Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges, followed by a reception at the Baguio Country Club.
Consistent with the couple’s low-key personalities, details on the occasion were kept hush-hush and the event itself reflected this discreet and intimate sensibility. The reception venue was tastefully ornamented with white flowers and delicately surrounded by draped fabric. The ceremony itself was decorated to mimic a snowy forest that was incredibly enchanting!
Of course, such an aesthetic was also evident in the bride’s sartorial choice for the ceremony–a strapless number reportedly by designer Rajo Laurel. The unadorned dress spoke volumes just by its perfectly flattering fit. She kept the accessories minimal as well, wearing nothing but dangling diamond earrings, a diamond tennis bracelet, and matching necklace with an accent gemstone.
For the reception, Maine changed into a more elaborate ensemble: a lace strapless bustier dress with an A-line skirt. Another classic gown that made her look like the epitome of elegance. This dress is from the Israel-based wedding brand Mira Zwillinger, the same label Son Ye Jin wore to her wedding in April of 2022.

For her last look, Maine threw on a party-ready fringe mini dress with an asymmetrical bustier bodice that lent the look a more formal flair. We even spotted her changing into Chanel slides after wearing her dazzling crystal-embellished pumps which appeared to be from Mach and Mach!

Strapless bridal looks aren't anything new. Celebrity brides here and abroad have donned everything from sweetheart necklines with serpentina skirts to more sultry designs in lace. Maine's timeless choice is decidedly fresh.
From their engagement, Maine has been keeping it simple and chic to embrace her down-to-earth personality. Their candid pre-nuptial photos featured her wearing a white blazer and chunky loafers, topped with a tulle veil.
