Rain or shine, love knows no weather conditions. One couple from Bulacan certainly proved this, when their wedding pushed through amid the heavy rains of Typhoon Falcon, which caused a flood inside their church.

The couple Paulo Padilla and Diane Victoriano exchanged vows in Bulacan’s historic Barasoain Church, which was notably affected by the recent typhoon’s onslaught of rain.
In footage posted by Paolo’s cousin Maria Jasmin Halili, the bride can be seen walking down the flooded aisle, as the ends of her dress were drenched in floodwater.
“Walang bagyo o baha sa dalawang taong nagmamahalan, kaya tuloy ang kasal!!” Marie Jasmin wrote.
In jest, Paolo’s cousin compared the wedding to the famous scene in Crazy Rich Asians, which depicted the luxurious rainforest-themed nuptials of Araminta Lee (Sonoya Mizuno) and Colin Khoo (Chris Pang), which involved water running down the aisle—although, on purpose! “The design is very Crazy Rich Asians, [emojis]” she wrote. “Pero Bulacan version.”
Right in the wake of Typhoon Egay, Typhoon Falcon (with the international name Khanun) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday, July 26, which soon intensified into a typhoon. Bulacan was one of those affected by the heavy rains brought about by the typhoon, as several municipalities experienced intense flooding.
We’re glad that you’re safe, Paulo and Diane! Congratulations on your wedding!
