Identify Fixed and Movable Structures
Rearranging furniture can refresh your home’s look, but Frances advises balancing fixed and movable pieces. "You don't want everything to be moving, kasi baka malito ka rin with your space, because you'll keep on changing it over and over, and never kang matatapos," she explains.
Buy Furniture One Piece at a Time—Starting with the Largest
Frances suggests starting with the largest piece in a room and building around it. "Take your time, [because] you don't want to impulse buy everything and then realize na 'ayoko pala nito.'"
