And among those cheering her on is Tyra Banks, the celebrated model and former America’s Next Top Model host.
On Sunday, November 10, the 50-year-old model left comments on two of Chelsea’s Instagram posts. Under Chelsea’s official headshot, where she wore her sleek, straight hair with a mauve-bronze makeup look, Tyra exclaimed, “Get it, girl!!!!!”
Soon after, Tyra commented again on another post, where Chelsea stood against a draped Barbie pink backdrop, sporting her natural curls. Enthralled by her effortless beauty, Tyra simply wrote, “Work!!!” paired with a fire emoji. To fans’ delight, she even followed Chelsea on Instagram!
This isn’t Tyra’s first show of support for the Philippines’ Miss Universe hopefuls. During the 2015 competition, Tyra praised Pia Wurtzbach’s sultry gaze on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Dang, girl. You betta #SMIZE.” Three years later, she also raved over Catriona Gray’s now-iconic walk, commenting “Pinoy Power to the Max!!!”

A certified fangirl herself, Chelsea couldn’t hide her excitement when she saw Tyra’s comments on her Instagram posts. Overjoyed, she shared her reaction on her Instagram Story, reposting the photo where Tyra had left her a message. “OMG!!!!” she wrote, followed by an enthusiastic trail of exclamation marks.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization was equally thrilled by the interaction, celebrating the moment with a post that included a screenshot of Tyra’s comments.

Last August, during an episode of her In Her Shoes series, Chelsea mentioned that Tyra Banks has been a source of inspiration from a young age. "Nung napanood ko kasi yung America's Next Top Model, siya na 'yung host, tapos gandang-ganda ako sa kanya—her eyes, 'yung color niya, 'yung smile niya. I saw myself in her kasi nakikinig na ako [at] the way she speaks," the Filipina beauty queen recounted.
