With an abundance of fresh air and greenery, it feels like stepping inside a perfectly shot Instagram Reel, with the sound of waves and bird songs filling the air, and a random peacock just casually passing by.
Idling by the beach is always a good idea, more so when the sun sets, the skies are clear, and the stars are infinite. For something more novel, you can also visit the in-property Bat Cave for a dose of adrenaline, whether you opt to spelunk all the way or just make a quick trek for some photo-op by the entrance.
2. Lounge poolside for happy hour.
Whether taking a dip in their infinity pool that overlooks the Sulu Sea or leisurely lounging by the open-air terrace of Hunas Sunset Deck and Bar, beat the perennial summer heat by indulging in a sugar cane cocktail (go for the Manami Mojito or the Tubo Rum Tiki for a refreshing drink with a twist) or some artisanal homemade ice cream with delectable flavors like Muscovado, Avocado, and Cookie Butter. It makes the perfect set-up for pondering the meaning of life whether on your own or with a trusted confidante.
3. Visit Linong Spa.
Manami takes the spa experience to new heights with their Linong Spa—literally. 4. Feast in Lingaw.
Spanish-Filipino cuisine with a touch of local Negrense flavors takes centerstage in Lingaw, the resort's all-day dining restaurant and coffee shop.
With most of the ingredients locally sourced, you can expect the freshest flavors to tickle your palate with every meal. The Pako Pako Salad (P600) was fortunately in season when we went, and the Paella (starts at P1500) was a crowd-favorite, and seconds (and even thirds!) were had from the Seafood Paella (starts at P2010) with clams, mussels, and shrimps. Be sure to try out the Fried Boneless Chicken Inasal (P700), a Bacolod gourmet staple slightly tweaked with their own special inasal marinade. And yes, if you're planning a wedding or a special occasion, they can totally cater to that, too!
5. Hop on a boat ride.
While this technically requires you to set foot outside of the resort, Manami organizes boat tours that you should definitely take advantage of. Explore Negros' crystalline waters and make your way to Tinagong Dagat and Campomanes Bay, all while enjoying your private cruise and playing your chillest soundtrack.
A Boodle Fight can also be prepared on board, turning into a true feast for the senses—from the grilling to the grand presentation, all paired with the signature Lingaw Sangria.
But what truly sets this boat tour apart is that you can opt to snorkel with their resident marine biologist, who not only will guide you and make you feel safe as you paddle in the water, but will also point out specific sea creatures and explain what they are.
