As far as dream destinations go, Amanpulo takes the cake for living up to its title—a dream both in scenery, and for the many who’ve heard of it on entertainment news headlines but have never actually gone.
In case you missed the memo, though, the luxurious private island is yet another celebrity-magnet favored for its elusive and exclusive nature, opulent villas, and majestic ocean views. Not to mention the property’s pristine white sand beaches is the perfect background for those who love flaunting their toned physiques and sultry swimsuits for the ‘gram.
A playground for famous personalities who can afford it, this tropical paradise has seen the likes of Jesse Mendiola, Luis Manzano, Maja Salvador, KC Concepcion, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Maggie Wilson, Erich Gonzales—and the list goes on.
Where is it located?
Amanpulo is the brainchild of Singapore-based luxury hotel group Aman Resorts. One of their many sea-flanked utopias, it was first opened to the public in 1993 and is located in the privately-owned Pamalican, an islet marooned in the Cuyo Archipelago, northeast of Palawan. To get here, guests must board a chartered plane for 70 minutes, starting from the Amanpulo Lounge hangar at NAIA, to the island’s own landing strip.
How much does it cost to stay?
The price of one’s stay depends on whether they choose a Casita or a Villa. Either way, these gorgeous accommodations “are serenely set on the beachfront or ensconced within the forest canopy,” promising stunning landscape sceneries and tranquil seclusion. A Casita can range from P70,874 to P128,117 per night, while a Villa can go up from P182,635 to P419,787 per night, based on your preferences and the date of your stay.
This is exclusive of your roundtrip flight to and from the island, which costs P17,991 per adult, and P12,267 per kids aged two to 11 years old.
