A promotion and a higher salary are at the top of many professionals' New Year's resolutions for 2025! While some may keep praying and manifesting for it, others seem to have it within their grasp, thanks to data revealing the highest-paying jobs in the Philippines. Unsurprisingly, the tech industry dominates the list, proving that the future truly is tech-driven.
According to Statista, as reported by Inquirer.net, the IT services in the Philippines is projected to grow with a market volume of USD3.6 billion by 2029. This comes as no surprise because in October 2024, PasaJob revealed that "Technology and Digital Innovation" are at the forefront of in-demand jobs in the Philippines from 2025 to 2030, closely followed by marketing.
The report highlighted essential skills such as "programming, data analysis, problem-solving, and a strong grasp of emerging technologies and trends," setting the stage for a tech-led future.
The Highest Paying Jobs in the Philippines for 2025
- DevOps Engineer: P850,000 to P1,500,000
- Software Engineer/Developer: P750,000 to P1,200,000
- Data Scientist/Analyst: P720,000 to P1,200,000
- Full-Stack Web Developer: P600,000 to P1,200,000
- Network Security Engineer: P900,000 to PHP 1,000,000
Lowest-Paying Jobs According To Philippines Statistics Authority
Meanwhile, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) released the Labor Force Survey (LFS) results on December 6, right before 2024 ended. This included the jobs with the lowest daily basic pay. Here are the results:
- Skilled agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers: P378/day or P8,316/month
- Elementary occupations: P413/day or P9,086/month
- Service and sales workers: P525/day or P11,550/month
- Craft and related trades workers: P553/day or P12,166/month
- Plant and machine operators and assemblers: P583/day or P12,826/month
Employment Rates in the Philippines for 2024: A Recap
October 2024 saw a positive shift in employment numbers, with the workforce growing and more Filipinos finding work according to PSA. The number of people with jobs reached 48.16 million, which is a significant increase from 47.79 million in October 2023 and 47.70 million in July 2024.
When looking at the labor force, aged 15 and above, the total stood at 50.12 million in October 2024. Of these, 1.97 million people were unemployed, meaning they were actively seeking work but didn't have a job or business.
However, despite the growth, there's still a gap when it comes to male and female participation in the labor force. Men continue to outnumber women in terms of seeking and securing work. Men had a higher Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) at 74.3%, compared to just 52.1% for women.
