The Philippines is not only famous for its beaches, but also for its mountains and hills that give travelers the best view of sunrise and sunsets—and, sometimes, a sea of clouds. The best ones, of course, are seen from our highest peaks and hiking destinations, such as Mt. Pulag. If you're looking for a quick drive, the slopes in Rizal Province are also good options. Tara sa Gulod, for one, is a camping spot that's also open for daytrippers hoping to bask in such a majestic view. Day tour is from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a fee of P120 per person.

Tanay Tourist Spot Overlooking a Sea of Clouds

Knowing how much Filipinos love taking photos, Tara sa Gulod has Instagram-worthy backdrops and set-ups in its view decks. There's one with a rattan hammock, another with a square-shaped deck that juts out of the slopes, and another with a heart-shaped arch for couples.

You can go up there as early as 5 a.m. to give you enough time to wait for the beautiful sunrise and possibly a sea of clouds, if the weather permits. Early in the evening, you can also witness the sky changing its colors as the sun sets.
