Korean dramas often delve into the fictional lifestyles and dramatic plotlines of chaebol families, but their real counterparts can be even more intriguing. And when it comes to TV, reality series is the next best thing to a ticket to their lives–enter Netflix’s show Super Rich in Korea.

Hosted by GOT7’s BamBam, comedian Cho Saehl, and singer Mimi, the reality series peeks at five upper-crusters living in the heart of South Korea who come from different corners of the globe. From a Singaporean CEO to Pakistani royalty, ahead, get to know more about the ultra-rich cast members of Super Rich in Korea.

As the self-proclaimed “Singapore’s top one percent super-rich,” the 37-year-old David Yong boasts a resume beyond being a reality TV star. The Singapore native is a businessman, CEO, venture capitalist, lawyer, and most recently, K-pop artist.

He currently oversees Evergreen Group Holdings, which has businesses across Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and more. David is also the managing partner of YSL Legal LLP, which is a boutique law firm for civil and corporate matters. 

As for the K-pop side of his ventures, David has also had a hand in its business side, investing $10.2 million in girl group Fifty Fifty’s agency, Attrakt. His artistic side shone in recent years, with the release of “My Way” in 2021, a collaboration with 4MEN, which was featured on the soundtrack of School 2021. In the following year, David was behind the hip-hop collab with rapper Kid Milli titled “In My Pocket.”

Aren Yoo, also known as Yoo Hee Ra, is dubbed “South Korea’s Paris Hilton” for a reason. The young socialite is rumored to be a member of the chaebol family behind the Heesung Group, which procures and supplies platinum metals to automobile manufacturers. Despite their family business making them one of the wealthiest clans in Italy, Teo sought passion elsewhere as a chef and restaurateur. He eventually founded his own company Loop Trade Innovators, a food and beverage import and export company based in South Korea.

However, Anna–who adopted the last name Kim–was raised in South Korea and considers herself “100 percent Korean.” The reality star, who moved to the country due to his father’s business endeavors, returned to Pakistan after tying the knot with Qamar Tiwana, the great-grandson of the former premier of Punjab.
