ICYMI, K-pop boy band Super Junior member Kim Ryeowook recently announced via an Instagram post that he's tying the knot in May. His bride-to-be is Ari, a former member of the K-pop girl group Tahiti. Their relationship was confirmed in September 2020. To make this engagement announcement even more interesting, Ryeowook’s marriage was already predicted by his bandmates. "How?" you ask. Through a game of rock, paper, scissors.

In a 2020 episode of My Little Old Boy, a Korean reality TV show, the members of Super Junior played a game of rock, paper, scissors to determine who among them would get married first. After much debate on the rules, they finally settled that whoever won the game would have to get married first and within three years. If they failed to get married within that time limit they would have to pay each member $1000 each. As fate would have it, Ryeowook emerged as the winner.

Fast forward to 2024, a year beyond the agreed-upon deadline, and Ryeowook is indeed the first to marry. Whether he paid the promised $1,000 to each member remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the fact that this playful prediction came true is making the internet lose it.
"SUPER JUNIOR'S ROCK PAPER SCISSORS GAME IS REALLY NO JOKE [crying emoji] A LITTLE LATE BUT CONGRATULATIONS, RYEOWOOK!!!!!!!! WE'RE SO HAPPY FOR YOU [party emoji][heart emojis]," wrote one user.
"Hahahhaa Ryeowook really [is] the first one to get married [laughing emoji] their prediction [came] true," tweeted another.

Congratulations to the soon-to-be-weds!
