Singapore's Mandai Wildlife East is a popular tourist destination where Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and River Wonders are located. If you're planning a trip to Lion City and have been to these places, there's another reason why you should come back.
Mandai Wildlife West is where the Bird Paradise was recently unveiled, and soon, there'll be a Rainforest Wild there too. If you need to take breaks in between visiting these attractions, you can take a coffee break at the brand-new Starbucks Bird Paradise.
Check out this Starbucks store in Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Singapore:
The new coffee house inside Mandai Wildlife West blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The establishment has a glass cabin look, with different wood textures and shades of green as seen on its facade.
According to Starbucks Singapore, Starbucks Bird Paradise is eco-friendly as it uses recycled wood for the store's bar ceiling and outdoor benches. In fact, these were even certified by The Singapore Environment Council to be "Green Label" certified.
When you pay closer attention to the details of its interiors, you'll notice there are more details highlighting wildlife. There are doodles of trees and flowers painted on the surface of the window, plus a mural of the Starbucks Siren surrounded by flora and fauna—specifically a bird, which we're assuming is intentional because the store is named Starbucks Bird Paradise after all.
The green initiative isn't just purely on the surface—it does go deeper than aesthetics. According to Mothership Singapore, this Starbucks store won't charge any additional cost for customers who want to switch their dairy for something plant-based. And for the first 2,000 customers who spend a minimum of 20 SGD, they get to take home a Starbucks reusable cup for free.
Mandai Wildlife West is at 20 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore. It opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m.
