Singapore is a must-see spot in Southeast Asia, beginning from the very second passengers deplane at the famous Changi Airport. As the reigning hub for airlines across the world, the much-raved airport boasts stellar amenities that provide a peek at a five-star experience.
The newly-refreshed Terminal 2 is one prime example, as the airport has recently unveiled its brand-new digital attractions, including a four-story tall digital waterfall and a digital sky.

LOOK: Changi Airport Terminal 2 Unveils New Digital Attractions
Embracing Singapore’s moniker as the “city in a garden,” Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 is a collaborative venture with multimedia entertainment studio Moment Factory and lead interior design firm Boiffls.
The minds behind the project aim to seamlessly connect passengers with the city's urban greenery the moment they enter Changi Airport, starting with two new attractions: the Wonderfall and the Dreamscape.
The Wonderfall
Towering at 14 meters and stretching 17 meters wide at Terminal 2’s Departure Hall, the Wonderfall is set to steal the show for in-transit travelers. Comprising 892 seamlessly connected tiles, the LED wall split into three flat segments with curved edges for better viewing.
The Wonderfall is backdropped by instrumentals composed by pianist Jean-Michel Blais, while every half hour, the four-minute show Rhythms of Nature plays throughout the day. Here, water cascades down megalithic boulders, which react to real-time lighting. Among the hidden gems worth spotting are a special round of rainbows, butterflies, and a Kingfisher that pop in every so often.
The Dreamscape
At the revamped Orchid Garden, the Dreamscape sits high above a pond, featuring a digital sky that’s a window to the great outdoors. The new attraction syncs up with the actual weather, making it a sophisticated yet relaxing zone before takeoff. Travelers can spot planes cruising by, with the occasional thunderstorm that transforms into an underwater wonderland with fish, otters, and a sampan boat.
Around this digital spectacle are rocks decked out with over 20,000 plants. The lights play around with shadows, giving the plants a textured look. Alongside the attraction is a sea-through pond, with colorful cichlids and other fish swimming underneath.
The digital attractions are just two of the several new additions in the revamped Terminal 2. For more info, check out Changi Airport’s Facebook and Instagram.
