Here's how you can get your hands on it.

You would know by now that Barbie comes in all shapes and sizes. Sure, there’s Stereotypical Barbie, but there are countless Barbies out there that can resonate with you and all your friends. And if she doesn’t exist yet, it’s up to you to make her. Nothing represents the unconventional folks quite like Weird Barbie, and it looks like Mattel's roundtable of execs finally got the memo: They officially released a Weird Barbie.

Here's How You Can Get an Official 'Weird Barbie' Doll

Inspired by actress Kate McKinnon’s character in the Barbie film directed by Greta Gerwig, the official Weird Barbie is a traditional Barbie that aims to look like a doll who belongs to an eager child who went to town with the markers and played with her too much.

The doll designed by Javier Meabe comes with haphazardly-cut hair, face doodles, a fabulous pink dress splattered with color, and funky neon snake-print boots. Messy, chaotic, and relatable, Weird Barbie represents all the possibilities outside of Barbie’s usual glamour and style.

You can get her to do the splits and more, as the doll comes with ball joints. That means you can bend her elbows and knees, too. True Barbie fans know the limited movements older dolls had, as they only had straight arms and legs.

A certificate of authenticity will accompany every doll purchased, along with a doll stand in a collectible Barbie The Movie packaging.

Each Weird Barbie is priced at US $50 (approximately P2777) on the official Mattel website and is currently available for pre-order until August 19, 2:59 p.m. Philippine time. There are no purchase limits so you can buy as many as you like. Shipping to the Philippines for one doll is US $29.95 (approximately P1,663).
