She even says her children's spouses can also live there in the future.

Sharon Cuneta, 58, says their house in the South is "halfway through" completion. She reveals this in an interview with a select group of entertainment editors at the Sheroes celebration at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City on March 12, 2024.

The Megastar says, "It was my lot that I bought after Boston. It was a long time ago. Frankie wasn't even born yet." Sharon lived in Boston for a year in 1997 when her husband Kiko Pangilinan, whom she married in April 1996, finished his degree in Public Administration at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

She goes on to say that her property in the South was originally a rest house.  "It could not hold all of our things. I didn't have a dressing room. " Despite the initial lack of space, Sharon couldn't bring herself to sell the lot and get a new one since her kids already fell in love with the area. Instead, she opted to demolish it and rebuild it into her "forever home."

"I demolished that weekend house, and we're building the forever home there. That's why I sold the Wack-Wack home, which I bought before I married Kiko," she said.  Talking about the former Wack-Wack property, she adds, "Iyan yung five years yung utang ko, binayaran ko in three years. And then I built a whole new house."

When asked to describe the "forever home" she's building in the South, Sharon says she wants a big bedroom so her children can do sleepovers with her and Kiko. "I want all my children and grandchildren to fit. They can sleep with us when they can. They still do," she said, smiling every time she mentions her kids.

She's so in love with her kids that she doesn't mind if their future spouses also live in the family house.  "It's a big house. I can do so much inside," she points out. "I don't think KC will use her room, so I can use it for something else." She even hopes that when Miel and Frankie get married that their spouses will agree to live there. Then she adds jokingly, "Otherwise, Miguel has to bring his wife there and play bowling inside. Mag-skating sila dun!"

Frankie and Miel are Sharon's kids with husband Kiko, while KC Concepcion is her daughter from her previous marriage with Gabby Concepcion. Miguel is Sharon and Kiko's adoptive child.

Sharon says about the ongoing construction of her home in the South, "We're taking it very slow. We're really not in a hurry." And her kids have requested her to be very private about it anyway.

Presently, the Mega Star lives at a posh condo in Makati City. She says, "I'm very happy here. I live two buildings away from here. I'm very happy here because I grew up in Makati. We moved to Makati in the '70s-'72 or something-I lived in that village there across that highway." Sharon is referring to Dasmariñas Village. In one of her Instagram posts, she says their home was "one of the first three houses" on Paraiso Street.
