Heart Evangelista and Sen. Chiz Escudero are back with a new episode of Adulting with Heart and Chiz. ICYDK, the married couple initially started the series in 2019, where they share advice on different adulting topics such as relationships, careers, finances, and even mental health.
In their most recent video, which was uploaded yesterday, August 22, they touched on Chiz’s experience accompanying Heart at Paris Fashion Week for the first time. And because it was his first time, photographers who were trying to take pictures of Heart tried to shoo the senator away.

When asked about Chiz’s experience during fashion week, the Senator revealed that he doesn’t actually attend the fashion shows inside since he isn't invited, but he’s there to provide Heart with extra support. “I don’t attend the shows. I’m not invited to the shows,” he explains. “I’m just there as part of the supporting cast to provide needed services so that she can do what she does best.”
He candidly acknowledged that it was a unique experience and that what Heart does isn't as easy as it may seem, stating, “Hindi ko naman naranasan yung mga ganon. Sabi ko nga sakanya akala ko simple yung ginagawa niya. Actually, mahirap ah.” He then went on to share how he was even shooed away by the photographers who were trying to take pictures of Heart.
“Mahirap din mapagsabihan ng photographer na ‘tumabi ka diyan’,” he laughs.
Adding to the story, Heart reveals that she had to intervene and clarify to the photographers that Chiz was her husband. "I'm friends with most of them, so I was like, 'Oh my God, sorry, that's my husband,' and they were like, 'Oh, sorry, désolé.'"
Overall, Chiz describes it as an "exciting, sometimes exhilarating, sometimes insulting" new experience for him.
"Yeah, because you get bashed a lot for it," Heart chimes in, also addressing comments from bashers criticizing Chiz for attending Fashion Week. The actress says, “Of course, I force him to dress up, but he’s not there for that. He’s there to be with me and to guide me.”
She even apologized to the Senate, saying, “Now that [Chiz] came in, oh my God, hindi siya pwede mawala. So sorry na po. If you have the Senate, sorry po sa Senate of the Philippines, but he has to take at least three days to make sure everything is great, everybody is happy, everything is in place, and then you can go back to your work.”
Adding to what Heart said, Chiz reassured everyone that he is diligently fulfilling his duties as a Philippine senator, pointing out how he's in fact "the only Chairman with no pending bills in [his] Senate committee."
