Whose bucket list doesn’t have “travel around the world” in it? Most of us are doing the slow and steady one-by-one approach to our globe-trotting dreams, but here’s a suggestion: What if we can achieve it all in one go? Enter Safrans Du Monde’s The World Tour Grands Classiques, an air cruise that lets its passengers travel around the globe in just 22 days.
What is Safrans Du Monde’s The World Tour Grands Classiques?
Launched by French travel agency Safrans Du Monde, the upcoming World Tour Grands Classiques gives passengers the once-in-a-lifetime travel experience of navigating the globe in less than a month.
Passengers will board a luxury Airbus A340 private plane, all complete with seats that convert into horizontal beds. On board, guests can experience appetizers, canapés and meals prepared the French way, with a chef’s handpicked special menus and a sommelier-approved set of champagne and fine wines.
What are the destinations in The World Tour Grands Classiques?
While the plane ride itself is a feat, the destinations are a magnificent highlight. From Paris, the first stop is Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, with a discovery tour of the Sugar Loaf Mountain and the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Guests will stay at the five-star hotels at the Belmond Copacabana or Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana.
Next up is Cuzco, Peru, where passengers will be able to experience a panoramic train ride Sacred Valley until the Machu Picchu. After a two-night stay, the private plane will take them to Easter Island, where they’ll be able to witness the Rano Kau volcano and the Tahai Moais statues first-hand.
Then, they’ll take off for the French Polynesia, including Papeete and Tahiti, with a four-night leisurely stay in the islands’ famed five-star resorts.
The tour will cross the international date line all the way to Sydney, Australia for a tour around the land down under in a two-night stay. Next off, the journey will take them to Southeast Asia in Hanoi, Vietnam and the Halong Bay, as well as a three-night stop in Angkor, Cambodia.
They’ll then head off to South Asia in Agra, India to see the sights of the Taj Mahal and taste the finest side of Indian cuisine.
For the last leg of the trip, the perfect cap-off is a tour of the Petra and Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, where they’ll see the half-built and half-sculpted rocks emblematic of the city.
Once that wraps, passengers will head back to the French capital, where they can bask in the City of Lights–all after circumnavigating the globe!
How much does one ticket cost?
The fare depends on the pass classification. A Club Safrans pass costs €68,000 or approximately P4,151,000 per person, which includes five-star hotel accommodations, full board, evening shows, and four-night stay at the Moorea in the French Polynesia. At each destination, guests will have a complete program of excursions and a dedicated tour leader.
Meanwhile, a Première Safrans pass costs €105,000 or approximately P6.4 million per person. This includes a stay at an elegant Parisian hotel before the journey, along with a higher-end choice for hotels and restaurants at each destination, and a four-night stay at the Bora Bora in the French Polynesia.
