This is not the first instance where Rihanna's actions related to religion have sparked debate. In 2021, concerns about cultural appropriation were raised when Rihanna wore a pendant depicting the Hindu deity Ganesha in a topless photo. It is noteworthy that Rihanna was raised in the Christian faith. In her Interview magazine cover story, she shared insights into her spiritual beliefs and how they influenced her relationship with partner A$AP Rocky, stating, “COVID sped up our relationship, which I felt like God knew we needed because we were going to start a family... I let God lead and just let go.”
