Weeks after the public proposal between Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero, the newly minted celebrity couple has already been embroiled in yet another trending controversy after the basketball star allegedly liked another girl's swimsuit photo.
ICYMI, a female TikToker went viral a few days ago after claiming that the UP Maroons player left a "heart" reaction on her bikini-clad picture, with her post reaching over a whopping 2.9 million views. The said upload was shortly swarmed with comments from curious netizens, tagging Andrea and prompting her to react to her new boyfriend's rumored online activities.
Before Andrea could speak up on the issue though, Ricci was quick to defend himself on social media, taking to his Instagram Stories to call out the fake news.
Last Wednesday, May 4, he posted a screenshot of the female TikToker's controversial post claiming that he liked her bikini photo. Listing down the reasons why people shouldn't believe the rumors and arguing that it's been edited, he captioned (published as is): "Lol 1st of all i would never do that 2nd it's clearly edited 3rd mas sexy gf ko kesa sayo."

Ricci and Andrea became "official" in April after the UP Maroons player asked the actress to be his girlfriend during a basketball game. Andrea had to choose between two shirts, each emblazoned with a "yes" or "no."
