Learning a new language has always been one of the most common New Year's resolutions, but it's not exactly the easiest to fulfill. Apart from giving up your free time, you'll also have to shell out some money to pay for a language course.
Fortunately, there are actually a few local institutions that offer foreign language programs completely free of charge. Most recently, the Quezon City Public Library declared that it will be resuming their basic Japanese language classes for free.
The library has collaborated with Jellyfish Education Philippines to administer a series of online classes about Japanese culture and basic Nihongo. Check out the full schedule of classes below:
- Apr 17 2023
- May 8 2023
- June 19 2023
- Jul 10 2023
- Aug 14 2023
- Sep 11 2023
- Oct 9 2023
- Nov 13 2023
- Dec 11 2023
After completing the course over Zoom, you will receive a Digital Certificate of Participation that you can add to your CV. So cool!
BTW, it's best to apply as soon as possible because only 500 slots will be opened on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested applicants must be of legal age and have access to a Zoom account, a stable internet connection, and a laptop, desktop, or mobile device. Follow the registration steps below to apply:
1. Fill out the registration form here: https://bit.ly/Registration_Apr-Dec2023.
2. Wait for a confirmation email to finalize registration. If you don't confirm your attendance within 24 hours, you will lose your reservation.
