The dolls were out of their boxes as we twirled the night away at the 2023 Preview Pride Soiree. Held last June 29, the event shone the spotlight on our gorgeous Femme-pire as each of them embodied the modern-day Filipina. After all, a meaningful month filled to the brim with queer excellence and joy only called for the grandest celebration to punctuate it.

Apotheka Manila was transformed into a barangay fiesta

Let's be real, no one throws a party better than us Pinoys. Paul Jatayna and his team did an incredible job at spinning Apotheka Manila into a barangay-style fiesta, complete with banderitas, sinampay, and our cover photos sprawled around the space.

Special cocktails were available for a very good cause

Of course, no party is complete without one or two (or three) refreshments. Aside from their usual menu, Apotheka also served up exclusive cocktails for the night, aptly titled the "Preview Femme-pire," "Preview Pride," and "Preview Freedom!"

Sales from these drinks went to Diossa by Love Yourself, an organization that raises awareness on HIV and offers free testing and consultation in regards to the condition. Bottoms up for a good cause!

Trans power was in charge of the evening's tunes

Making sure people were up on their feet throughout the night were Xtina Superstar and one of our cover girls, Alexa Dignos. Everyone was bopping their heads to their upbeat mixes of OPM classics!

Our editor-in-chief Marj Ramos-Clemente gave the most empowering speech

To formally kick things off, our EIC Marj Ramos-Clemente talked about the significance of this year's cover. In her words, there wasn't just one, two, or even 19 cover stars—this year's Pride aimed to represent every color in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Uson. Completing their ensembles were towering heels by Jojo Bragais, and stunning accessories by Farah Abu, MJorian, Piesa, and Alchemista.
